ITV Studios heads to Cannes with First Woman, Number 10

Rafe Spall in Number 10

Lunar drama First Woman and political comedy-drama Number 10 headline ITV Studios’ slate of new and returning scripted series for Mipcom next week, as the UK-based production and distribution giant leans into crime and thriller series.

First Woman is a 6×60′ series coproduced by Mammoth Screen and Alcon International Studios in alliance with ZDF for UK commercial broadcaster ITV. Andrea Riseborough (The Devil’s Whore) stars as an astronaut who mysteriously goes missing on the moon.

Number 10, meanwhile, is a 6×60′ series from Hartswood Films for Channel 4. Rafe Spall and Jenna Coleman are among an ensemble cast playing politicians and staff inside the UK prime minister’s residence.

Rounding out the roster of new dramas are procedural Winter (6×60′, Eagle Eye Drama for ITV), about a pathologist who solves crimes; and an adaptation of Elizabeth Day’s bestselling novel The Party (5×60′, World Productions for ITV).

Returning favourites and established hits set to be shopped to buyers in Cannes include Line of Duty, Vigil, Karen Pirie, Ludwig and Sherlock.
