IndiaCast alum Rao joins GoQuest Media to grow global licensing and sales

Mumbai-based distributor GoQuest Media has appointed Bhavishya Rao as head of international licensing and distribution.

Reporting to company founders Vivek Lath and Jimmy George, Rao will be responsible for global licensing and sales activities for the Indian company.

With 12 years industry experience, Rao previously worked at Pocket FM, an Audio OTT start-up, where she specialised in script licensing.

Prior to that, she was at Indiacast Media Distribution, a joint-venture between Viacom 18 and TV 18, where she managed the distribution of Indian TV series and films.

Her tenure at Tata Play also saw her handling acquisitions for SVoD and TVoD services.

GoQuest Media has additional offices in the UK and Vietnam, plus local sales presences in Istanbul, Turkey and central and eastern Europe.

The company distributes titles to platforms such as Disney+, Hotstar, Globoplay, SBS and Telemundo, specialising in international drama and scripted formats.
