Hasbro series alight on Turkish net

MIPCOM NEWS: Hasbro Studios has licensed five of its branded animation series to Turkish broadcaster ATV’s new kids’ net Minika.

Launching this fall are My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, The Adventures of Chuck and Friends, Pound Puppies, GI Joe Renegades and Transformers Prime.

Minika’s general manager Mahmut Ipsirli said it was “vital” for Minika as a channel building its own brand “to partner with leading content distributors like Hasbro Studios.”

This latest deal follows a raft of toon sales by Hasbro to Western European broadcasters in Germany, France, Belgium and Holland last week.
