Groupe M6 orders two-part event special of Most Identical format

MIPCOM: Groupe M6 in France has commissioned a two-part event special of Mentorn Media’s format Most Identical.

Originally produced for UK pubcaster the BBC in 2003, Most Identical is a format in which hundreds of pairs of identical twins compete in a series of entertaining, challenging and scientifically demanding tests designed to determine which pair is the most alike.

Groupe M6’s commission, revealed on day two of Mipcom, is the format’s second adaptation in France and is being produced by Coyote Conseil.

Most Identical is distributed by Mentorn Media’s sister company Passion Distribution, which has also secured new-season renewals for Mentorn’s dating format Paradise Hotel and reality competition Worst Driver.

Dutch broadcaster RTL’s streamer Videoland and TVN in Poland have commissioned third and 14th seasons of Paradise Hotel, respectively. The show originally premiered on Fox in the US in 2003.

RTL has also greenlit season 13 of Worst Driver, which originally debuted on Paramount-owned 5 in the UK in 2002.
