She will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Mitre’s slate of shows, as well as acting as an executive producer on the prodco’s branded entertainment content output.

Nightingale joined London-based Mitre in 2021 as a creative executive. Prior to that she worked as a creative director for the James Grant Group, and also served as series producer for ITV Studios on shows such as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

She has delivered multi-platform branded content, including Santander’s ‘Bank of AntanDec’ and TUI’s ‘Happiness Ambassadors’ campaigns.

Mitre Studios was founded in 2011 by McPartlin and Donnelly and has produced Limitless Win and DNA Journey, both for ITV.

Ed Sleeman, MD, Mitre Studios, said: “Gemma has played key roles on all of Ant and Dec’s entertainment shows for over a decade and she also has a brilliant development mind.

“There is therefore no one better placed to lead this department.”

Nightingale said: “Ant and Dec’s passion to originate and produce vibrant, joyful, ambitious content makes me hugely excited to lead a department that has this vision at its very heart, and I can’t wait to continue the adventure.”
