Fugitive rebrands, opens US office

Merrily Ross and Anthony Kimble

Fugitive, the UK-based content development, financing and executive producing company run by Anthony Kimble and Merrily Ross, is rebranding and opening a US office.

The firm will become known as Arrested Industries from next week. Kimble will relocate to the LA to run the new outpost as CEO of scripted, while Ross will become CEO of unscripted and will continue to be based in London.

Kimble launched Fugitive in March 2019. He was previously senior VP of coproduction and North American acquisitions at Cineflix Rights.

Ross, who was previously VP of formats at Modern Times Group and, before that, VP of format sales at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, joined in August 2019.

Kimble said: “We now start the next phase in our story as a revitalised Arrested Industries, with focused scripted and unscripted divisions, healthy development slates in each, a growing catalogue of completed shows for distribution, an international sales team in place and new partnership ventures.”
