French-Canadian drama Detective Surprenant lands at Canal+ Poland

Detective Surprenant: Murder on the Island will air on Canal+ Poland this spring

Canal+ Poland has picked up the local rights to Detective Surprenant: Murder on the Island, the French-Canadian series produced by V10 Media in collaboration with Quebecor Content.

The six-episode project will be broadcast on Canal+ Poland in the spring, as well as being available on the Ale kino+ channel.

The show follows Detective Andre Surprenant as he returns home to investigate the murder of the mayor’s daughter in a remote island town. It was previously picked up by streamer Walter Presents in the UK, Ireland and the US.

The sale to Canal+ Poland, which was handled by worldwide distributor TVA Distribution, comes after the series’ second instalment, Detective Surprenant: The Baron of the Archipelago, premiered in Canada.
