LA-based Boone will be charged with developing new series for Fremantle’s scripted pipeline, in addition to playing an active role within the larger scripted team globally. He will report to executive VP of scripted programming Jenni Sherwood.

Boone joined Bad Wolf America in 2018 as director of development before being promoted to VP of scripted development in the summer of 2020. Before that he was the manager of global scripted development at Entertainment One.

Recent projects produced by Fremantle US include political thriller and romance tale Fellow Travelers (Showtime), indigenous drama Little Bird (Crave/PBS) and modern love story Alice & Jack (Channel 4/PBS). The company also has a reboot of 1980s lifeguard drama Baywatch in development with Fox.

“Jeff’s experience and impeccable reputation compliments Fremantle’s creative collective of visionary talent who are developing and producing much of the world’s most exciting television,” said Sherwood.

Boone added that he believed in Fremantle’s “vision of embracing strong creative voices to tell bold stories that inspire conversation.”
