FreeCast gets 28 Brazilian channels through deal with RBTI as it plans global expansion

US-based streaming and media technology company FreeCast has added 28 Brazilian TV channels to its line-up through a deal with Rede Brasileira de Televisão Internacional (RBTI).

RBTI serves audiences outside Brazil, distributing Brazilian programming, including programmes from free-to-air broadcaster SBT and original content developed for Brazilian audiences abroad.

Under the agreement, RBTI’s 28-channel portfolio will be made available alongside FreeCast’s broader library of global FAST channels and free VoD programming.

FreeCast founder and CEO William Mobley said: “Streaming removed the geographic limitations of television, but the industry remains extraordinarily fragmented. Our opportunity is to create the technology and commercial layer that connects those pieces.

“Brazil represents an important step toward a FreeCast ecosystem where local television can become global television, and global content can become local in virtually any market.”
