France’s Gulli commissions Cartoon Forum pitch Benny & the Bin Buddies

Benny & the Bin Buddies will be presented to buyers at Mipcom

French broadcaster M6 Group’s children’s channel Gulli has commissioned Paris-based animation studio Millimages to produce animated upper preschool series Benny & the Bin Buddies.

First pitched at Cartoon Forum in 2024, Benny & the Bin Buddies (fka Bin Buddies) follows three raccoon garbage collectors and their garbage truck, as they make their daily rounds. Every day starts with a simple mission: collect the bin and keep the town clean.

Created by Fabrice Ravier, the 78×7’ original comedy series is currently in production and will be presented to buyers at Mipcom next month.

In related news, Millimages has also signed a development deal with Gulli for its latest original animated series, Calypso. Also heading to Mipcom, the 52×11’ fantasy-comedy series follows an 11-year-old girl whose dreams – and nightmares – come to life every morning. As she navigates friendship, family and the everyday challenges of growing up, she must also deal with whatever her imagination has brought to life.
