Fox opens up Monday animation block

Duncanville S2 makes its debut in May

US network Fox is expanding on its Sunday night animation offering by adding a Monday toon block set to include new series Housebroken and season two of Duncanville.

Animated comedy Housebroken, voiced by Lisa Kudrow and Tony Hale, will debut on Fox on Monday May 31 at 21.00 PT. The series follows a group of neighbourhood pets and strays that run a mutual support group in a member’s living room.

Housebroken, produced by US indie Kapital Entertainment and Fox Entertainment, was created by Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden and Clea DuVall, who also executive produce. Sharon Horgan, Clelia Mountford, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor also serve as exec producers. The series is animated by Fox-backed Bento Box Entertainment.

Following Housebroken at 21.30 PT on Mondays will be season two of Amy Poehler comedy Duncanville, which premieres on May 23. The show follows 15-year-old Duncan who lives a spectacularly average life but has an above-average imagination.

Duncanville is produced by Disney-owned 20th Television, Universal Television and Fox Entertainment. Mike Scully, Julie Scully and Poehler co-created and executive produce the series with exec producer Dave Becky and Bento Box again handles animation.

Fox’s existing Sunday night animation block includes long-running series The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers.
