Fox Kids UK extends NTL cable deal

Fox Kids Europe has inked a three-year deal with the UK's biggest digital cable platform NTL to extend carriage of Fox Kids UK.

The channel, which airs such shows as Braceface, Digimon, Jackie Chan Adventures and Power Rangers, has been broadcasting on NTL's digital platform as part of its Fun Pack package since December 2000. NTL's Dcable network currently pipes to some 1.14m homes.

This extension follows hot on the heels of a previous cable carriage deal inked by Fox Kids Europe to launch in the UK on the Telewest Broadband cable system as of February 15, 2002.

Fox Kids Europe is now available to all digital DTH and cable subscribers with a total reach to 6.8m homes in the UK and Ireland, with some 5.5m of those coming via BSkyB's satellite service.
