All three companies are on board to produce the project, with Bento also handling animation.

Murder mystery game Clue, known as Cluedo in some territories, was adapted for the screen in a 1985 film starring Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd.

Pancho Mansfield, eOne’s president of global scripted programming, said: “Clue is an iconic whodunit property that exudes mystery and intrigue, and has fans all over the world. We can’t wait to share our reimagined animated version with audiences.”

Bento Box is the US animation studio behind Bob’s Burgers and was acquired by Fox’s parent Fox Entertainment in 2019.

US toy giant Hasbro completed its US$3.8bn acquisition of Canadian prodco eOne just over a year ago.
