Fox Entertainment Global taps Sony alum Matt Hanna as senior sales VP Americas

Fox Entertainment Global (FEG) has named Sony Pictures Entertainment alum Matt Hanna as senior VP of sales for the Americas.

In his new role, Hanna, who was most recently the senior VP of global distribution at Sony Pictures Entertainment, will lead FEG’s licensing and distribution strategy and oversee the content monetisation strategy across the US, Canada and Latin America for linear, digital, transactional, ancillary and emerging platform models.

Hanna has more than two decades’ experience in licensing, distribution and digital strategy.  In his most recent post at Sony Pictures Entertainment, he led multi-territory and global film and television licensing deals.

Before that, he held several senior positions across US television distribution, home entertainment and legal affairs at Sony.

“Matt’s proven track record in driving sales and forging partnerships will be instrumental as we expand our programming reach across the Americas,” said FEG president Prentiss Fraser. “His strategic insights, strong relationships, and passion for the industry make him an invaluable addition to our executive team.”
