Ex-Showtime CEO joins CuriosityStream board

US factual streamer CuriosityStream has appointed a former Showtime chairman and CEO to its board of directors.

Matthew Blank has joined the CuriosityStream board of directors effective immediately, where he will provide guidance and advice to the streaming service.

Blank’s career in the entertainment industry spans four decades. Most recently, he served as an advisor to Showtime Networks, having spent over 20 years as chairman and CEO of the company, after previously serving as president, chief operating officer and exec VP of marketing.

Before Showtime he worked at HBO for 12 years, eventually serving as senior VP of consumer marketing.
