eOne’s Watson boards Boat Rocker

The sales arm of Canada’s Boat Rocker Media has appointed the former manager of acquisitions at Entertainment One (eOne) TV International to its team.

Jessica Watson has joined Boat Rocker Rights (BRR) as director of global sales and acquisitions, which will see her handle global sales in EMEA, specifically Scandinavia, CEE, the Middle East and Africa.

The division was formed earlier this year as part of a restructure at Orphan Black producer Temple Street Productions.

BRR has since been building up its library of scripted, factual, lifestyle, kids and family series and specials.

Watson will also be responsible for acquisitions of third-party content for the BRR catalogue and will report to its president, Jon Rutherford.

Watson has more than 10 years of experience in the media industry, having joined eOne in 2013 after a five-year stint at Canuck media firm Astral, which has since dissolved.

Jodi Lutz is also joining the BRR team as director of rights management and administration, while Chris Hunt is coming onboard as senior manager of media operations. The pair join from Ole Media Management and Blue Ant Media respectively.

BRR has also promoted Kelsey Griffin to manager, global sales and marketing, giving her responsibility for sales across Asia-Pacific, as well as marketing, promotions, and international events at BRR.
