Banijay-owned Endemol Shine Brasil is launching a talent agency that will represent some of the participants on the reality shows it produces.

Endemol Shine Brasil has partnered with local talent management firm Suba, with the companies kicking off by managing talent from local productions The Bridge (HBO Max), Canta Comigo (Record TV) and Queen Stars (HBO Max).

In a statement, Fernanda Abreu, head of licensing at Endemol Shine Brasil, said the company started to see a growing opportunity in this space in 2018 and had began putting the wheels into motion in 2019. However, the pandemic derailed those plans, forcing the move to be postponed until this year.

With production up and running in the region now, including the reality trio of The Bridge, Canta Comigo and Queen Stars, the companies felt now was the right time to launch.

It is a strategy parent company Endemol has employed in other territories. In April, Banijay Germany launched Banijay Live Artist Brand, a label for artist management, live entertainment, marketing and digital content. Suba is led by CEO Fabiana Bruno and chief growth officer Ronaldo Rangel.

Since launching in 2007, Endemol Shine Brasil has produced more than 120 projects. According to the company, its shows, which include the Brazilian version of Big Brother, reach around 40 million viewers a day.
