DLT Entertainment expands into Wales, hires former Wildflame CEO Paul Islwyn Thomas as director of programmes

London- and New York-based factual producer and distributor DLT Entertainment has opened an office in Wales and hired Paul Islwyn Thomas as director of programmes for the new division.

At DLT Entertainment Wales, Thomas will oversee a slate of new development projects designed to leverage the nation’s creative talent and opportunities, while serving as the main point of contact for Wales-based productions.

With over 40 years’ experience in TV, Thomas was most recently CEO of Wildflame Productions in Cardiff from 2015 until August last year.

Other roles include head of arts and events at BBC Cymru Wales, MD of Indus Films and creative director of ITV Studios-owned Boom and Twofour Group’s Bulb Films.

Thomas has also worked as an executive producer for broadcasters including the BBC, S4C, Discovery Science, Smithsonian, Blue Ant, Paramount-owned Channel 5 and CBS.
