Ana Toro-Mancilla

The Walt Disney Company has appointed Ana Toro-Mancilla as its new head of production, tasked with overseeing the company’s production operations across Latin America.

The news was announced by the executive herself via LinkedIn, where she expressed her enthusiasm for this new professional stage.

“I am very happy to finally announce that I have joined The Walt Disney Company as head of production, overseeing production operations throughout the region,” she wrote.

Toro-Mancilla also expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in him by Daniel Burman, head of original content for Disney+ in Latin America, and Carol Turner, head of production at Disney Entertainment Television, and highlighted that she will be working alongside Juan Ponce and Mônica Albuquerque.

The arrival of Toro-Mancilla represents a new addition to the Disney+ content team in Latin America, which has been strengthening its regional structure since the appointment of Burman in February of this year and the subsequent additions of Albuquerque in Brazil and Ponce in Mexico.

Toro-Mancilla has more than 30 years of experience in the audiovisual industry and an extensive track record in the development, production and management of content for studios, television networks and streaming platforms.

Between 2018 and 2022, she served as head of physical production of original fiction for Europe and Latin America at Amazon Studios, where she participated in the creation of the company’s international original productions division.

More recently, between May 2023 and December 2024, she was head of production at TIS Productions, where she led production operations and services for Paramount Pictures and independent production companies.

She previously held executive positions at Univision, Shine Group and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
