Damson Idris to star in Netflix, Bad Wolf adaptation of The Lords’ Day

Welsh indie Bad Wolf is adapting House of Cards author Michael Dobbs’ 2007 novel The Lords’ Day into a six-part drama series for Netflix.

Starring Damson Idris (F1, Snowfall) in the lead role, The Lords’ Day follows a British spy who finds himself locked inside the building amid a lockdown on the state opening of parliament. As the siege escalates, loyalties are tested and selfless sacrifices are made, leading to a desperate fight for survival where not everyone will emerge alive.

Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Humans) will serve as lead writers and exec producers, while Ben Chanan (The Capture, The Missing) is director and exec producer.

Damson also exec produces, along with Bad Wolf CEO and co-founder Jane Tranter and MD Dan McCulloch. Production is due to begin shortly.
