Crime drama Ellis among premium content on All3Media Int’l slate for Mip Africa

Sharon D Clarke plays the lead in Channel 5’s Ellis

UK police procedural Ellis headlines distributor All3Media International’s slate of premium scripted, unscripted and factual programming for Mip Africa in Cape Town next week.

Produced by Company Pictures for Paramount-owned Channel 5 in the UK, the 3×120’ drama follows tenacious cop DCI Amma Ellis (Sharon D Clarke) as she takes on failing investigations.

Other scripted titles to be shopped at the market include crime drama Critical Incident (6×60’), produced by NBCUniversal-owned prodco Matchbox Pictures for Australian streamer Stan, and Dance School (6×30’), produced by Duck Soup Films for Channel 4 in the UK.

Topping the unscripted roster is Jesus: Crown of Thorns (4×60’), a Nutopia production in association with Fox Nation US, which imagines Christ’s story as a political thriller.

Finally, Parenthood (5×60’) is a wildlife series from All3Media-owned Silverback Films for BBC One, which tells the story of how animals look after their young.
