CJ E&M boards web drama musical

MIPTV: South Korean producer CJ E&M’S digital arm has entered a coproduction partnership to make a musical romantic drama for the web.

Musical drama We Broke Up

Digital Studio has teamed up with YGKPlus, a subsidiary of K-pop agency YG Entertainment, and production company Story Plant to produce We Broke Up, which tells the story of a couple who live together after splitting up.

The show will be uploaded to Digital Studio’s YouTube channel as well as YG Entertainment and YGKPlus’ digital channels from early June.

Digital Studio was launched in 2014 to expand CJ E&M’s entertainment business into digital.

Its content can be watched on CJ E&M’s YouTube channel, Style Studio, as well as its lifestyle-focused television networks OnStyle, O’live and XTM.
