NEWS IN BRIEF: Cineflix Media has promoted executive VP of legal and business affairs Sam Berliner to general counsel to work on initiatives and negotiations across the Cineflix Media group.

Berliner, who will provide strategic advice through the company’s next phase of growth, has worked at Cineflix Media for 16 years, before which he was a partner at Heenan Blaikie for 20 years, specialising in entertainment law.
