Chinese streamer iQiyi hires Jing Wang as GM in Middle East and Africa

Chinese streaming platform iQiyi has appointed Jing Wang as general manager for the Middle East and Africa.

Wang founded Dubai-based gaming and media marketing company Sawa Group in 2022 and was its CEO until this month. Before that she founded mobile game company Fire Phoenix in 2021.

Wang’s other former roles included human resources manager at blockchain and cryptocurrency exchange platform Glomax Exchange, MD for the Middle East and North Africa at Sinocal Petroleum and general manager and co-founder of Qingdao Wonder Oriental Group.

At iQiyi, Wang will be based in Singapore, overseeing operations in the Middle East and Africa. The exec announced her appointment on LinkedIn.
