Channel 4 partners beauty brand Sol de Janeiro on first vertical drama

The Guest List centres on a group of young friends in London

UK public service broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned its first microdrama series, in partnership with beauty brand Sol de Janeiro.

Five-part series The Guest List is produced by creative agency Curly Media and follows a friendship group of four women in their 20s living and working in London.

Each of the characters draws inspiration from a different scent in Sol de Janeiro’s new Intense Mist fragrance range. The four women are played by Deba Hekmat (Last Swim), Jadesola Odunjo (You), Mia Ito Smith and Felicity Ali.

Emma Walker, Curly Media’s co-founder and MD, is exec producing while Nadira Amrani is the director. The series will be available on Channel 4’s Meta, TikTok and YouTube channels from October 24.
