Česká Televize acquires French-Canadian animated kids series PIN

French-Canadian animation PIN debuted in 2022

Czech Republic pubcaster Česká Televize has acquired PIN, a French-Canadian animated series that aims to introduce kids to economics in a fun way.

Česká Televize has picked up the educational series for its VoD platform CT Edu, which will begin streaming the project on September 1.

The 50×3’ project, which comes from Quebec-based Productions Mustang, follows a slightly naive teenager, Peter Imbeault-Nicholl, who is introduced to responsible finance by Ruby Cashon, a financial advisor who doesn’t hesitate to give her young apprentice the straight goods.

Quebec-based HG Distribution handles international sales on the show, which premiered in 2022.

In related news, HG Distribution has announced that France’s Mediawan Thematics has acquired science documentary Anomaly Detection (1×70′) for its Science & Vie TV channel and the second season of adventure series Expedition Kayak (20×60′) for its Trek channel.
