CBS has added a TV spin-off of the 2011 Cameron Diaz film Bad Teacher and a legal drama about a female lawyer to its roster of pilots for 2013.

The movie version of Bad Teacher followed Diaz as an unruly divorcee who becomes a teacher in order to find her next husband.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, writer Hilary Winston is on board to pen the TV pilot’s script, while the film’s original screenwriters Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg will serve as executive producers.

CBS has also cemented a pilot for The Advocates, a legal drama in which a female lawyer teams up with a male ex-con. Warner Bros Television will produce the hour long pilot, which Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) will write and exec produce.

This week has already seen CBS order three other pilots including one for a potential Beverly Hills Cop series, exec-produced by Eddie Murphy.
