Canada’s Trio Orange joins forces with Québécois execs to launch Punch! Animation

French-Canadian prodco Trio Orange has joined forces with Quebec-based animation execs Benoit Godbout, Sylvain Lavoie and Julie Mongeau to launch Punch! Animation.

The aim of the venture is to develop and produce innovative, original animated content to showcase Quebec IP worldwide.

Trio Orange has more than 400 scripted, unscripted, kids and youth productions to its credit, including Empathy, Last Summer of the Raspberries, Lac-Mégantic: This is Not an Accident and Who Almost Killed Melody?.

Godbout and Lavoie have produced TV series including Vie de Quartier and Pérusse Cité (Radio-Canada), Snowsnaps and Fred’s Head (Télétoon), Martha Speaks (PBS), F is for Family (Netflix) and Breaking Bear (Tubi).

Mongeau has overseen the production and post-production of several series and feature films while working at Motion International/TVA International, Spectra Animation/Echo Média and CarpeDiem.
