Bulgaria’s TV7 enters the dock

Bulgarian entertainment channel TV7 has commissioned the country’s first local legal drama, with storylines based on real-life cases.

Agency Mitrani (Kantora Mitrani) follows a blind lawyer and his colleagues and is produced by Media Pro Entertainment, the production and distribution arm of broadcaster Central European Media Enterprises (CME). The directors are Viktor Bojinov and Peter Valchanov.

Bojinov and Valchanov have been responsible for some of CME-owned bTV’s top-rated shows, including Glass House (Stuklen dom) and Homewars (Domashen arest).

The show marks the first collaboration between Media Pro and TV7.

Agency Mitrani is being produced by Media Pro in line with its third-party business strategy, which also led to the making of a TV commercial for Bulgarian vodka brand Alaska produced with Media Pro Magic Strategy.

Media Pro also produces drama Lara’s Choice for Nova TV in Croatia, and a Czech and Slovak edition of singing competition format The Voice for the Czech Republic’s TV Nova and Slovakia’s TV Markiza.
