BiggerStage brings in ex-Paramount exec Leda Connaughton-Deeny as CFO

Irish indie BiggerStage has appointed former Paramount Global executive Leda Connaughton-Deeny as chief financial officer.

The prodco said the appointment marks the next phase of its expansion following the launch of its Global Production Hub at Troy Studios in Limerick.

Connaughton-Deeny joins with more than 20 years’ experience at Paramount Global, where she led finance and strategy teams from its Sydney, London and New York offices.

Her remit spanned the broadcast, content distribution, streaming and consumer products lines of the business.

Reporting to Pat Kiely, BiggerStage’s founder and CEO, Connaughton-Deeny will lead finance, strategy and investment, working alongside the senior leadership team to scale the company’s production services and coproduction models, and build on its commercial partnerships with studios and networks.

Kiely said: “Leda brings exceptional financial leadership to BiggerStage at a critical moment in our growth. Her international experience with global media businesses will be instrumental as we scale the business, evolve our proposition and pursue the significant investment opportunities ahead.”
