BBC acquires French TV drama The Intruder from ITV Studios

The Intruder will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC Four

The BBC has acquired four-part French drama The Intruder, for BBC iPlayer and BBC Four, from distributor ITV Studios.

Starring Mélanie Doutey (Post Partum, Le Bal des actrices), Lucie Fagedet (Mr & Mme Adelman, The Sense of Wonder) and Éric Caravaca (Plot 35, C’est quoi la vie?), The Intruder sees a mother let a stranger into her home, with unforeseen consequences.

The psychological thriller was created by Nathalie Abdelnour, written by Abdelnour and Nathalie Saugeon, and directed by Shirley Monsarrat.

It was produced by Lèa Gabrié for Tetra Media Fiction, part of ITV Studios, which also distributes the series internationally and in coproduction with France Télévisions.

The original broadcaster was France 2a. The executive producer is Marie Madec (Speakerine, Sur le fil).
