Banijay France combines drama outfits Shine Fiction and Banijay Studios France

SERIES MANIA: Banijay France announced at Series Mania this morning that it is joining together its scripted outfits Banijay Studios France and Shine Fiction.

Operating as Shine Fiction and led by chairman Dominique Farrugia with chief operating officer, Guillaume Thouret, the offering will concentrate on premium series for local linear and global streaming partners.

Shine Fiction now houses French dramas including Marie Antoinette, which has sold to more than 140 markets via Banijay Rights, and has just debuted its second season on Canal+.

Other titles include Apple TV+-series Carême, comedy-crime series The Family Detective (TF1), thriller Rien ne t’efface (TF1), and mysterious coming-of-age drama Désenchantées (France TV).

Shine Fiction boasts a team of producers including Chanelle Bernard, Stéphanie Chartreux, Carole Della Valle, and Soizic Gelbard.
