Under the new two-year agreement, announced on day two of Mipcom, Banijay Asia will represent Talpa Studios’ portfolio of non-scripted formats in India and Thailand.

Talpa Studios’ portfolio includes hits such as The Floor, The Quiz with Balls, The Alliance and Most Wanted, among others.

Through the partnership, Banijay Asia will bring Talpa Studios’ shows and creative concepts to broadcasters and streaming platforms across India and Thailand – with an aim to localise, adapt, and produce these IPs for regional audiences.

Deepak Dhar, founder and group CEO of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, said:
“At Banijay Asia, we’ve always believed in the power of great storytelling backed by strong format DNA, and this partnership allows us to introduce some truly exciting concepts to India and Thailand. We look forward to collaborating closely with Talpa Studios to bring these ideas alive for our audiences with our signature local flavour and scale.”

Elsewhere in Cannes this week, Dutch broadcaster SBS6 and Australian broadcaster Seven Network have ordered local versions of Talpa format Caught In The Middle. The Australian edition will be produced by Eureka Productions (a Fremantle company) in partnership with Talpa Studios. Both editions will be filmed in Talpa Studios’ international production hub.

The Dutch version is set to premiere on SBS6 in January 2026, while Seven will announce its scheduling at a later date.

Created by John de Mol’s Talpa Studios, Caught in the Middle is the ultimate quiz battle between one duo and one hundred opponents. The duo stands at the centre of a giant LED arena surrounded by a hundred opponents. Over the course of 15 questions, they must outsmart the crowd by picking answers that match as many rivals as possible – knocking them out one by one before the opponents reach the middle and claim the €50,000 jackpot for themselves.
