Ay Yapim to adapt three new Globo novelas starting with Fina Estampa

Globo’s long-running telenovela Fina Estampa

Turkish production company Ay Yapim will adapt three new Globo telenovelas, starting with a version of Fina Estampa that will premiere on Now TV in Turkey in September.

The alliance expands the collaboration between both companies which began in 2024 with Leyla, a Turkish adaptation of the popular Brazilian telenovela Avenida Brasil.

The adaptation of Fina Estampa, the first of the three new titles, will be titled Ömür Usta and will be directed by Hilal Saral, who also helmed Leyla.

Originally broadcast in 2011 and written by Aguinaldo Silva, Fina Estampa follows Griselda Pereira, a hardworking woman who supports her family by doing domestic repairs and working as a “rent-a-husband.”

In 2013, the telenovela had already been adapted into Spanish by Telemundo under the title Marido en alquiler (Husband for Hire).

The other two titles included in the alliance have not yet been announced.

The international distribution of the new adaptations will again be handled by Madd Entertainment, while in Brazil the titles could also be added to Globo’s platforms, including Globoplay and the Globoplay Novelas channel.
