Apple TV to adapt Rebecca Yarros’ survival romance novel Peculiar Stars

Streamer Apple TV has optioned the rights to adapt Rebecca Yarros’ forthcoming romantic novel Peculiar Stars into a TV series.

Apple Studios will develop the project, with Yarros serving as executive producer through her Full Measures banner.

US author Yarros is best known for the Empyrean fantasy book series, with Amazon MGM Studios already working on an adaptation of Fourth Wing, the first book in the series. It will be produced by Creed actor Michael B Jordan’s Outlier Society, Premeditated Productions and Kilter Films.

The main character of Peculiar Stars, Callista Moran, finds herself trapped on an island for 18 months after a sailing trip goes tragically wrong. There she battles for survival and finds love with ex-army medic Dominic.

The book is scheduled to be published in November.
