AMC replaces CTK with Sundance

AMC Networks International is to expand the distribution of its Sundance Channel on Spain’s pay TV platforms by rebranding its film channel CTK.

From October 1, subscribers who previously received CTK will be able to view Sundance Channel’s mix of first-run original drama series alongside independent films and documentaries.

The Spanish language 24/7 channel will be available to pay TV operators as an SD and HD linear network, VOD service and via mobile and online authenticated streaming.

Eduardo Zulueta, MD of AMC Networks International for Iberia and Latin America, said: “CTK’s transition to Sundance Channel will be a great opportunity to grow viewership on our partners’ platforms by sharing fresh, new compelling original programming with their subscribers.”

It’s the latest rebrand this year by AMC Networks, which rebranded its Chellomedia International Networks division as AMC Networks International following its US$1bn takeover of the firm earlier this year.
