AMC adds Warner, Endemol veteran

US cablenet AMC has appointed a former Endemol and Warner Horizon Television executive to oversee operations at the company’s network and studio.

Drew Brown becomes senior VP of production at AMC, where his remit will include overseeing all elements of production and post-production at the company’s channel and studio operations.

He will report to Joel Stillerman, AMC’s exec VP of original programming, production and digital content, and replaces Jason Fisher who moved to Paramount to become head of production in April.

Brown was most recently VP of production at Warner Horizon where he worked on dramas including Pretty Little Liars, Longmire and Dallas. He also had a stint as head of production for the digital arm of Endemol USA.

Stillerman, who is currently working on shows such as Hell on Wheels and Breaking Bad spin off Better Call Saul for AMC, said: “Nothing we do fits in a box anymore, so each series needs a custom solution. That is where Drew truly excels along with his ability to find the best way to support the vision of the people creating and producing shows for us.”
