Amazon’s Prime Video brings crime drama The Bad Guy back for second season

Italian crime drama The Bad Guy returns for a second season on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon’s Prime Video streamer in Italy has ordered a second season of Italian original crime drama The Bad Guy.

The Bad Guy, which debuted on Prime Video in 2022, tells the story of an incorruptible Sicilian public prosecutor who, after being convicted of involvement with the Mafia, decides to pull off a Machiavellian revenge plan, becoming the ‘bad guy’ he has been unjustly turned into.

Season two is directed by Giuseppe G Stasi and Giancarlo Fontana, and created by Stasi, Ludovica Rampoldi and Davide Serino, who also write with Fortunata Apicella, Giacomo Bendotti and Giordana Mari.

It is produced by Indigo Film in coproduction with Amazon MGM Studios, Fifth Season and Rai Cinema, and will launch on Prime Video in Italy in 2025 before broadcasting on Rai. Fifth Season handles international sales in all other territories.

Producing for Indigo Film are co-founders Nicola Giuliano, Francesca Cima and Carlotta Calori, with Viola Prestieri.
