Amazon to stream more than 100 Prime Video titles on Freevee by end of year

Coming-of-age drama The Summer I Turned Pretty

Amazon is set to broaden the number of Prime Video originals that are also made available on its ad-supported platform Freevee.

By the end of the year, Amazon said more than 100 Prime Video originals will be available to stream on Freevee.

As it stands, more than 50 Prime Video originals, including Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, The Grand Tour, Mozart in the Jungle, Bosch, Modern Love and Savage X Fenty, have already been added to Freevee.

On May 26, the first three episodes of acclaimed coming-of-age drama The Summer I Turned Pretty will join Freevee’s programming lineup. Also launching on Freevee in May are The Terminal List, Paper Girls, Goliath, The Tick, Homecoming, Upload and The Vast of Night, as well as the first three episodes of A League of Their Own.

Later in the year, the entire first season of Prime Video’s Reacher will launch on the AVoD platform, in addition to the whole first season of The Wheel of Time, which is returning to Prime Video for its second season this year.

Amazon said new titles would be added to Freevee each month, while all titles will remain on its SVoD platform Prime Video.

Elsewhere, Amazon announced that its Bosch spin-off Bosch: Legacy, a Freevee original, has been renewed for a third season. The renewal comes ahead of the season two premiere, set for this fall. The spin-off is produced by Fabel Entertainment and counts Michael Connelly, Eric Overmyer, Tom Bernardo, Henrik Bastin, Pieter Jan Brugge and Titus Welliver among its executive producers.
