3Net focuses on Vietnam photos

US channel 3Net, the 3D joint venture channel from Sony, Discovery and Imax, will air a special documentary about the Vietnam War on Memorial Day.

Sky Soldier: A Vietnam Story in 3D will air on 3Net on Monday May 28 at 21.00.

The one-hour special is narrated by Bill Paxton, produced by Tom Jennings Productions and executive produced by Jennings and Tim Pastore.

The programme follows helicopter pilot and photographer Major Joel Glenn who left his young family behind to fight in the war and record what he saw.

Glenn left behind a body of work that included the only known 3D photographs taken in war-torn Vietnam, which will be examined in the doc.
