Ukraine’s 1+1 Media is launching 1+1 Worldwide

Ukraine’s 1+1 Media has launched 1+1 Worldwide, which it claims is the first Ukrainian app featuring free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels designed for international audiences in English and Spanish languages/subtitles.

The app provides free 24-hour access to two thematic Fast channels. The first, 1+1 News, features documentaries about Ukraine and episodes that debunk myths about the war-torn nation. 1+1 Travel, meanwhile, features episodes of The World Inside Out, hosted by Dmytro Komarov, and takes views on a tour of the globe’s most remote regions. It’s broadcast in Spanish with the option of English subtitles.

1+1 Worldwide’s content can be accessed on the website or by downloading an app to Roku or smart TV devices. The service is a partnership with US service provider OTTera.

Oleksandr Remezovsky, head of international distribution, 1+1 Media, said: “1+1 Worldwide is an ambitious project with a powerful goal – introducing Ukrainian culture, identity, and views to the English- and Spanish-speaking worlds through content. There is a great demand for this, so we hope everything will work out.”
