Netflix reveals Korean originals

Streaming giant Netflix has revealed a slate of Korean original series at the Asian TV Drama Conference, which is currently taking place in Seoul.

The global streaming giant is working on 10 shows from Korean creators. The series range from supernatural action drama The School Nurse Files to sci-fi romance My Holo Love and stand-up comedy special Park Narae: Glamor Warning. The slate also includes second seasons of existing Korean originals Kingdom and Busted.

In his opening remarks at the 14th edition of the conference, Rob Roy, VP of content at Netflix Asia Pacific, said: “Asian content has found fans around the world, transcending languages and borders, and we are humbled to work with some of the finest creators and talent here in Korea and all over the region.”

Other Korean originals in the pipeline at Netflix are dramas Extracurricular and Round Six.
