NENT orders Swedish drama original

Fares Fares in Partisan

Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group has ordered a five-part original drama series from Sweden for its Viaplay streaming platform.

Partisan focuses stars Chernobyl’s Fares Fares Johnny, who finds himself in an idyllic Swedish village where things are not what they seem.

Filming is underway on the series, which will premiere throughout the Nordic region on Viaplay next year.

The drama is directed by NENT Group’s Amir Chandin, and produced by Johanna Wennerberg for Warner Bros Sweden. Lebanese-Swedish actor Fares is also a creative producer on the show.

In January, NENT Group announced a UK-based joint venture with indie studio FilmNation Entertainment, while in May it invested in new US production company Picturestart.
