NBCU renews Vieira talkshow

NBCUniversal (NBCU) has renewed its nationally syndicated daytime talkshow fronted by Emmy-winning journalist and presenter Meredith Vieira for a second season.

The Meredith Vieira Show premiered on September 8 in the US and has been sold by NBCU Domestic TV Distribution in 98% of the country, including the NBC-owned television stations.

The show is taped in front of a live studio audience at the Rockefeller Center in New York and is executive produced by Vieira alongside Rich Sirop and Michael Glantz.

NBC News correspondent Vieira is also the former host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? in the US, having presented the programme for 11 years up until 2013.
