Miller exits Sony Asia

Todd Miller will be leaving his post as executive VP of networks, Asia-Pacific, at Sony Pictures Television next month “to take an extended sabbatical from the corporate world.”

“After helping SPT build and operate winning businesses in Asia for nearly 17 years, this is the right time for me to take an extended sabbatical from the corporate world,” Miller (left) said today.

“I plan to focus on family, to deepen my involvement with Asian children charities, and do some more cycling in my quest to ultimately circumnavigate the planet on two wheels.”

Miller led development of SPT’s channels in Asia-Pacific including AXN, AXN Beyond, Animax and Sony Entertainment Television (SET), as well as newly launched One and Pix subscription VoD services.

“Todd has brilliantly guided our networks business in Asia-Pacific and made a tremendous contribution to the company,” said Andy Kaplan, president of networks at SPT. Miller will leave SPT on April 15.
