Tournament of Laughs will see 32 comedians facing off in an elimination tournament. The comics will go head-to-head virtually to outperform one another, with Sudeikis acting as the master of ceremonies and providing commentary.

Each week, the comedians will create, produce, self-film and star in their own videos. After the episode has aired, viewers will decide who progresses to the next round via phone and online voting, with the winning comics returning for the next round. In the final episode, an expert comedy panel will crown a winner.

Tournament of Laughs is produced by The Jay & Tony Show. The exec producers are Jay Blumenfield, Tony Marsh and Pip Wells, who also showruns.

In addition, the series will make a charitable donation to the United Nations Foundation’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meanwhile, TBS has also ordered a social experiment reality series called Lost Resort, which centres on nine strangers attending an exotic wellness retreat.

Working with an eclectic team of alternative healers who push them to their limits, the group experiences everything from rage rituals and vulnerability circles to orgasmic healing.

The 10-part show is produced by ITV America-owned Sirens Media, with Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh, Jordana Hochman and Sarah Howell serving as executive producers. Michael Bloom exec produces for Bongo Pictures.
