GSN reveals Hidden Agenda

US gameshow channel GSN has commissioned the man who brought Who Wants to be a Millionaire? to the US to produce a new hidden-camera gameshow for January.

Hidden Agenda has one member of a couple attempting to persuade his or her partner to complete a series of challenges without letting on that they are on TV. Comic Debi Gutierrez (A Place of Our Own) is the host.

The show debuts on January 14 and is being made via Michael Davies’ production company Embassy Row. Initially making his name via quizzer Millionaire on ABC, Davies set up Embassy Row in 2005 and earlier this year sold it to Sony Pictures TV.

Hidden Agenda continues GSN’s move into original productions, the cable network having already commissioned revivals of The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game. Earlier this year, GSN acquired gameshow format Face Value from Spanish production company ONTV Producciones.
