Fuse, Genius make music together

Genius x Fuze will launch next month

US music-focused multiplatform channel Fuse and lyrics analysis platform Genius have teamed up to develop an original digital series.

Genius x Fuse (10×30′) will premiere on March 18, featuring artist-centric content from Genius including Verified, Deconstructed and For the Record with Rob Markman.

Joshua Asen, Genius’s head of TV and film, said: “Genius champions artists who are shaping today’s music culture, and our digital content spotlighting their craft and creativity resonates intensely with our online audience.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Fuse to bring these lyrical deep-dives to linear television, where they can reach an even broader audience of true music fans.”

The new partnership is part of Fuse’s strategy to leverage both original and acquired digital content to develop into linear TV series. Examples include Made from Scratch, which originated as a Fuse YouTube format, and Complex x Fuse, which is entering its fifth season on linear TV.
