Fox sets date for The Four’s return

Fox’s adaptation The Four: Battle for Stardom

US broadcast network Fox has announced the date for the second season of its music competition series The Four: Battle for Stardom.

The show, a coproduction between ITV Entertainment and Armoza Formats, will premiere on June 7 and run for 10 episodes.

The show is based on Armoza’s format The Final Four, which has also been picked up Banijay companies Magnolia Italy and Magnolia Spain for adaptation in their respective countries, as well as by CPL Productions in the UK and CTC in Russia.

The series is hosted by Fergie and its judges are DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Sean Combs. Its format differs from other singing talent shows in that there are no auditions. Instead, contestants compete for a place in ‘the four,’ where they must remain until the end of each episode when their position will carry over to the next show.

Season one was Fox’s highest-rated new unscripted series in nearly four years.
