Fox & Hare roam Europe, Asia

Fox & Hare was ordered by Ketnet and KRO-NCRV

Broadcasters in Europe and Asia have acquired Fox & Hare, the Benelux animated series based on popular forest fables.

DR in Denmark, RTHK in Hong Kong and Piwi+ in France will air the 26×11′ series, which is produced by Submarine in the Netherlands, Walking the Dog in Belgium and Doghouse Films in Luxembourg.

Directed by Mascha Halberstad and Tom van Gestel, Fox & Hare is aimed at four- to seven-year-olds and follows the bright and cheerful adventures of the most unexpected forest friends imaginable.

APC Kids, the children’s entertainment division of coproduction and distribution company APC Studios, has global TV distribution rights to the show.

It was commissioned by Ketnet in Belgium and KRO-NCRV in the Netherlands and pre-sold to RTBF (Belgium), YLE (Finland), RUV (Iceland), ERR (Estonia) and TVP (Poland).

The animated series is adapted from the eponymous book series from Sylvia Vanden Heede and Thé Tjong-Khing, published in 10 countries by Lannoo Publishers.

Lionel Marty, MD of APC Kids, said: “The mix of clay and 3D animation in Fox & Hare creates a series with a distinctive look and feel. Combined with the universal theme of friendship and community, we are delighted that new global broadcasters are partnering with us to bring audiences into the world of this fun new show.”
